The History of ORANJE

In the beginning, ORANJE was an idea for a small
gathering of friends to share art and music in the
spring of 2002. The brainchild of Adam Crockett
and Ryan Hickey, two young men with a passion for
experience and creativity, ORANJE quickly grew to
become a major event.

Since 2002, ORANJE has continued to better itself by broadening it horizions to include more and different types of art and music and by evolving the idea of what an art & music festival can truly be. In fact, over the past five years, ORANJE has showcased the talents of over 100 musicians and 175 different artists, and has grown attendance numbers from 700 in 2002 to over 2300 people in 2006. This is all the more amazing when you realize that ORANJE only takes place once a year for one night only.

ORANJE has become the premier contemporary culture event in Indianapolis and is even beginning to expand to a regional audience. This year, be sure to mark the date on your calendars as this is one cultural event you do not want to miss.
