My latest work is the complete organic synthesis of complex internal emotions with the physical act of painting. This group of work is a variety of physical pieces that express emotion through bold color and texture. I created all of these pieces, as I do most of my paintings, on their backs. I stand the pieces up on edge at different times in the drying process to allow the paint to move on its own, pulling out new reservoirs of memories. I hover over the pieces moving the paint with grand gestures that allow me the create a synthesis of feelings and actions throughout the piece.
