Lori Leaumont is a 28 year old artist from New Orleans, Louisiana, living in Indianapolis with her husband and 5 neurotic cats. She primarily works in porcelain ceramics, but began her education as a painting major, which continues to influence and inform her work. Lori graduated from the Herron School of Art and Design last year with a BFA in Ceramics. Her ceramic work is mostly functional, inspired by personal experience and the "beauty of the mundane", and the connections people have to mementos and everyday functional objects.
