well it all started when my parents had sex and had me, jason. i've always loved art, it began with crayons. they always tasted good so i would eat them but in preeschool i moved to playdough. i always drew and in 89 i won the big poster contest and got to meet the govener,"he was drunk" or so my dad says. in high school i took all the art clases i could, to get out of the hard classes because art came easy and so i could skip and not get in trouble. after high school i went to work as a house painter and really started to get out of my head. when i was at my worst i met meshell, my wife and she gave me the strength to get my shit together. a year after we met we had our son bax and he helped me to grow up almost all the way. for the next 3 years were all diaper duity and fun, then we had mia my daughter and another couple of years of diapers. around that time i started drawing to keep myself from drinking to much and to have a new purpose because the kids were getting easier. drawing got boring then i found an article on stenciling in a thrasher magizine article on how to customize your skate deck, tried it and was hooked. i have cut hundreds of stencils in that time, and have tried many methods for backgrounds. from hand cutting print blocks for ink stamping to decopodge, i've tried alot. i like to work mostly on canvas but wood or metal are good also. with this medium multiple paintings can be created with one stencil, with unlimited possibilities for background and color. each one will be one of a kind because of overspray,drips,runs, and other anomalies. some paintings are open ended series and some are limited number. i always loved graffiti and street art and wanted to find a way to have it in my house. street art brings art to a public space where it is free for all to see. i usuall focus on famous people or immages, my family, or just wierd things. i can make a painting from just about any photograph and do custom work from client photos. i have a constant gallery show going in my basement. i have 2 dogs,2 kids and 1 wife and yes i am afraid of beetles.
