Pete grew up in the industrial Mid-West which helped shape every aspect of who he is today. He found inspiration in the grit of the city, the amazing music and artwork that have sprouted out of Detroit’s history, ashes and rejuvenation.
Originally aiming to become a teacher, which he did for 5 years, Pete rapidly developed and refined his love for music, video and art in late high school and throughout college. Brownbulb Productions came to life, in its infancy, in late 1998 during a crash course in credit card debt. Luckily, the lesson was learned and he’s still going today producing a diverse assortment of audio and video projects around the country.
As an art minor in college, with a ceramics emphasis, graduation meant the end of free resources and therefore the end of his affair with the potter’s wheel and kiln. Pete refocused his theoretical art training towards acrylic and watercolor painting. After several years of experimentation he joined the world of mixed media artists and after a few heavily influential experiences was adopted by spray paint and stencils. He has been at home there ever since.
